Baltimore County police identified on Monday the 80-year-old Reisterstown woman who was killed over the weekend after flames engulfed her bedroom.

Police said Carolyn H. Conrad died in her home at the 400 block of Main Street Saturday afternoon.

Firefighters were called around 4 p.m., where they found smoke was showing from a back bedroom. It took 40 firefighters about 20 minutes to control the single alarm blaze.

Arson investigators say the fire was accidental but they are still investigating its cause and origin.

Investigators said smoke detectors were operational in the home.
