Green Party harms its own cause

The Green Party's candidate for president will only hurt the environmental cause, and increase the chance that the Republicans will win the presidency ("Green Party nominates Jill Stein for president at Baltimore convention," July 14).

Remember what happened when Ralph Nader was on the ballot in 2000? The Green Party got enough votes in Florida to tip the election toGeorge W. Bush. We got Iraq and the Great Recession!
