A 35-year-old Beltsville man was being sought Sunday by Howard County Police for allegedly shooting his estranged girlfriend and one of her friends during a suspected domestic dispute at an Ellicott City spa on Saturday, according to police.
Tuan Minh Pham, of the 11900 block of Beltsville Drive, has been charged with two counts each of first-degree attempted murder, second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault and second-degree assault, as well as reckless endangerment and multiple gun charges in the incident, police said.
Pham's estranged girlfriend, Lan Phan, 34, of Silver Spring, who is also the mother of Pham's two children, and her friend, Phuong Thanh Do, 40, of Florida, both remained in critical condition at Maryland Shock Trauma on Sunday, police said.
About 7 p.m. Saturday, police said, Pham drove to the Nail and Hair Care Spa in the 5700 block of Richards Valley Road, where Phan worked, despite the fact that Phan had an active protective order against him.
As Pham approached the business, police believe Pham saw Do waiting to pick up Phan outside.
Police said Pham then approached Do, started to fight him, then shot him.
Do then ran into the spa, and Pham followed him in, police said.
Pham then located Phan in the store and shot her before fleeing the store and driving off in a tan or gold 1998 Honda Accord, with license plate 2AK0291, police said.
A reward of up to $2,500 has been offered for anyone who provides information leading to Pham's arrest, police said.
