Proposed helicopter pad planned for new Havre de Grace hospital raises concerns

Concerns were raised Tuesday in Havre de Grace about plans by Upper Chesapeake Health to include a helicopter pad as part a new hospital complex it is building in center city.

Councilmembers and planning officials at a planning committee meeting that they needed to make sure the pad wasn't to close to nearby neighborhoods.

City ordinance says that helicopter pads can't be within 1,000 feet of a residence.
