Baltimore-area power outages have dipped below 10,000, more than a week after a powerful storm knocked out electric service for to more than 600,000 customers.
Baltimore County remains the hardest-hit, with more than 4,000 outages, and Baltimore City has about 2,000 customers in the dark on one of the hottest days of the year, according to Baltimore Gas & Electric Co. Temperatures could approach a record-breaking high of 105 degrees.
