Salisbury: The Salisbury University Varsity Club and football team will host the Friends of Sea Gull Football Golf Tournament on July 14 at the Ocean City Golf Club in Berlin. Cost for the event is $125 for a round of golf as an individual or $500 for a foursome. Dinner can be purchased for nongolfers for $25, and hole sponsorships are available for $100. Proceeds benefit the Robert Packard Center for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis research at John Hopkins Hospital, the Salisbury University Varsity Club (to benefit the football and baseball teams), and the Bobby Richards Memorial Fund. Check-in is scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m., with a shotgun start at 1:30 p.m. The day will also feature a raffle with prizes that include a University of Florida Gators football package — four game tickets, roundtrip airfare and hotel accommodations for the Oct. 6 LSU game at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium — and Washington Redskins, Ravens and Orioles and Georgetown men's basketball tickets. Registration is open until next Wednesday. For more information, contact football assistant coach Robb Disbennett at rwdisbennett@salisbury.edu.
