Italian marble, Moroccan tile and stained beveled glass. It just sounds expensive, right?

Those are some of the perks Richard Leverrier, a Washington-based agent with Sotheby's International Realty, highlighted for the 19th-century home on East Mount Vernon Place in Baltimore that sold for $1.75 million in May.

The house, built in the 1850s, made the Top 10 list for the highest sales in May for the Baltimore region.

The six-bedroom house has cherry inlaid floors, seven fireplaces, a gourmet kitchen, a butler's pantry, sauna (!), wine cellar and Italian chandeliers, the agent outlined in a flier.

In addition to the 6,500-square-foot house, the residence came with an adjoining carriage house.

The property was originally listed at $2.45 million.
