DNR talk for anglers

Monday. Eric Zlotovitz of the Maryland Department of Natural Resources will provide a PowerPoint presentation about "The History of Striped Bass in the Chesapeake Bay" at the monthly meeting of the Perry Hall Chapter of Maryland Saltwater Sportsfishermen's Association, 7:30p.m. at Post 10067 Gunpowder Post VFW, 6309 Ebenezer Road. 3D fun shoots

Mondays through the end of August, 4:30 p.m. to dark. Baltimore Bowmen Summer 3D Fun Shoots. Twenty-eight 3D targets in a wooded setting. $10 for nonmembers; $5 for members. Information: BaltimoreBowmen.com.

Junior sailing

July 5-July 8. The Junior Olympic Sailing Festival will be held at the Annapolis Youth Yacht Club. The festival will have youth clinics followed by Olympic-style opening ceremonies July 5 featuring ESPN personality Gary Jobson. Five fleets of boats will start the competition July 6 with closing ceremonies July 8. For information, go to annapolisyc.org/juniorolympics.

Family hike

July 7. Kids 4 and older are welcome to join their parents and other hikers on this easy three-miler with the Mountain Club of Maryland in the Glen Artney Area of Patapsco Valley State Park. Walk through the woods, along the river, under the train trestle and around Lost Lake. Wear layered clothes and sturdy shoes; bring water, snacks and lunch.
