Pikesville man killed in Carroll Co. crash

A Pikesville man was killed Saturday in Westminster when the car he was in collided with another vehicle on Route 97, Maryland State Police said.

Police identified the man as Terry Gail Clark, 58. The crash happened south of Hook Road about 1:30 p.m.

Clark was in a Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Ethel Neta Maddox, 51, of Pikesville, police said. They were traveling south on Route 97 south when a northbound Ford Mustang driven by Michael Allen Smith, 55, of Highland, crossed the center line.

Clark was taken to the Carroll County Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said. Smith and Maddox were taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore with unknown injuries.

Police are investigating the crash.
