Streaker hits the beach in Ocean City

June 12, 2012|By Michelle Deal-Zimmerman, The Baltimore Sun

No matter how teeny weeny the size of some bikinis, Ocean City beaches are not clothing optional. You gotta wear, well, something.

You can't parade around the sand dunes completely nude or else you end up in a police report. That's what allegedly happened to Brendan Ohare, 36, (at his age, he really should know better), according to the Ocean City Police Department.

At 9:26 a.m. on Monday, police responded to a report of a nude male in the public beach area near 140th and Wight streets. The officer found Ohare naked and "flailing his arms, yelling and chasing a resident in the area," as onlookers watched with concern. Police noted that Ohare was "completely exposed" and appeared to be intoxicated and referred to himself as Jesus and God.

After what police described as a brief tussle, Ohare was arrested and charged with indecent exposure, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and second-degree assault of a police officer.

According to a report by Delmarvanow.com, there were several witnesses to Ohare's alleged behavior, including some families with young children.
