The National Weather Service is calling for Tuesday to be rainy, with a high near 84 and south winds between 8 and 10 miles per hour. The chance of precipitation is 90 percent. Thunderstorms may produce heavy downpours Tuesday afternoon and evening. New rainfall amounts between one quarter of an inch and one half of an inch are possible.

A small craft advisory is in effect for the Maryland Chesapeake Bay and the tidal Potomac River from Cobb Island to Smith Point Tuesday and Tuesday night. Forecasters warn that water levels may approach minor tidal flooding levels at sensitive locations such as Annapolis during high tide Tuesday afternoon and Tuesday night.

Tuesday night is expected to be rainy, with a low around 74 and south winds at 7 miles per hour becoming northwesterly. The chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New rainfall amounts between one quarter of an inch and one half an inch are possible.

Wednesday is expected to be mostly sunny, with a high near 80 and north winds around 16 miles per hour.

Wednesday night is expected to be cloudy, with a low around 67 and north winds between 8 and 11 miles per hour.
