Thunderstorms may produce heavy downpours Tuesday afternoon and evening. New rainfall amounts between one quarter of an inch and one half of an inch are possible.

A small craft advisory is in effect for the Maryland Chesapeake Bay and the tidal Potomac River from Cobb Island to Smith Point Tuesday and Tuesday night. Forecasters warn that water levels may approach minor tidal flooding levels at sensitive locations such as Annapolis during high tide Tuesday afternoon and Tuesday night.

Wednesday night is expected to be cloudy, with a low around 67 and north winds between 8 and 11 miles per hour.
