A four-bedroom, four-bathroom Craftsman-style beach retreat on the Severn River sold in April for $2.2 million. It was the second-priciest deal in the Baltimore region that month, one of 23 homes that sold for $1 million or more.

The Murray Home Team of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage handled the sale. Agent Mike Murray said almost every room in the house, on Winchester Beach Drive in Annapolis, has panoramic views of the Severn River.

“The views are second to none,” said Murray, who leads the team with his wife, Melissa.

The house replaced a small cottage that had been damaged by Tropical Storm Isabel in 2003, he said.

The edge of the back yard serves as a private beach on the water, he said. The property also features a pier, two boat lifts, a fire pit, a small front porch, a two-car garage and a tree fort.

Inside, the home has vaulted ceilings, custom cabinets, a second-story porch and a master bath with soaking tub and steam room, among other features.

Murray said they sold the property without publicly listing it, a tactic some agents use with million-dollar homes to attract only serious and qualified buyers. (It was entered into the system after a deal was struck, which is how it came to our attention.)
