Crofton, Odenton residents asked to limit water use

Water main break diminished water production, public works says

June 10, 2012|By Kevin Rector, The Baltimore Sun

Residents of Crofton and Odenton are being asked to limit their use of water through Monday morning after a water main break that diminished Anne Arundel County's water production, according to the county's public works department.

The damaged underground water main, which had been repaired as of 3 p.m. Sunday, was feeding water to the Crofton Meadows II Water Treatment Facility, the department said.

Residents were asked to limit their use of water until 7 a.m. Monday.

The department called the restriction "necessary to recover water not produced" before the repair of the water main.
