The National Weather Service is calling for Thursday to be mostly sunny in the Baltimore area, with a high near 80 and west winds around 6 miles per hour. There is a 40 percent chance of shattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2 p.m.

A coastal flood advisory is in effect Thursday for the Maryland Chesapeake Bay and the tidal Potomac River.

Thursday night is expected to be partly cloudy, with a low around 66 and west winds around 5 miles per hour. There is a 30 percent chance of precipitation.

Friday is expected to be sunny, with a high near 85 and northwest winds between 6 and 13 miles per hour.

Friday night is expected to be mostly clear, with a low around 66 and west winds between 9 and 11 miles per hour.
