The conservative group Citizens United -- which is best known for fighting laws on campaign finance limits -- gave $5,000 to an effort to repeal Maryland's Congressional map.
Del. Neil Parrott and his group MDPetitions.com is spearheading an attempt to petition the Congressional map to the November ballot. Last week the surpassed an initial hurdle and turned in about 25,000 signatures. They have until the end of the month to submit the balance of the 55,736 needed to trigger a referendum.
