Orioles top prospect Dylan Bundy was handed his first professional loss Saturday, despite another strong outing.
The 19-year-old right-hander allowed three hits and one earned run in five innings pitching for High-A Frederick in a 1-0 loss at Wilmington.
The lone run was manufactured against Bundy in the fifth inning. Roman Hernandez reached on an infield single and was sacrificed to second. Another infield single by Juan Graterol moved Hernandez to third. He scored on a squeeze bunt by Alex McClure.
Bundy struck out seven and walked one.
He is now 2-1 with a 0.68 ERA and 53 strikeouts in 40 innings in 10 pro starts, though his ERA in two starts at Frederick is 2.70.
