BangBang Mongolian Grill flavorful but frantic

Building your own bowl gives you power, but the pace and the decision-making move quickly

Dessert at BangBang is self-serve frozen yogurt ($3.99 with a meal), in vanilla, chocolate or swirl, with a toppings bar that rivals Candy Kitchen's. The company promotes the yogurt's probiotics and the availability of fresh fruit toppings, but we homed in on the sweet stuff, loading up with Butterfinger crumbles and Cap'n Crunch (the cereal selection is impressive).

We ended the meal feeling satisfied but restless. The evening was hectic, as we hopped up and down for dinner and dessert, and we couldn't shake the feeling that with better information, our meals might have been better. Plus, the sight of all of those ingredients we didn't try left us wondering, "What if?"

The good news, though, is that now we know what to expect. Come prepared. Take our time. Those exploding flavors aren't going anywhere without us.
