Pull up your pants and cut it out with the thrift stores, people -- Baltimore is among the worst dressed city in the country, according to Travel + Leisure.

In a report from its June issue, the magazine says Baltimore should be ashamed of itself.

Anchorage is the No. 1 worst-dressed city. Salt Lake City rings in at No. 2.

But poor Baltimore. The magazine apparently doesn't care for the Hon look.

Here's what they say:

"In a city judged to have fairly offbeat residents, there are bound to be questionable fashion choices. Case in point: the Baltimore Hons, a group of people who sport the ’50s cat-eye-glasses look with gusto. Some visitors have their sights focused elsewhere, anyway, using Baltimore as a convenient, affordable base for day trips (ranked No. 12)."

The list was built from the results of a visitor perception survey. So this is coming from tourists to the city. Tourists!

Tourists and also an eight-year resident named Erika Poniske who sells the city right down the smelly second-hand river. She says local hipsters, especially those that hover around the quirky Hampden neighborhood, are a sartorial blight. And the city's love of casual doesn't help.

“If you’re going to take time to dress up in Baltimore," she tells the magazine, "you better be on your way to somewhere specific. Otherwise you’re going to stand out, and you’re going to feel awkward.”

Hmm. Apparently she's not been following The Sun's glimpsed column where we find stylish people every week.
