Three named to Laurel's Census and Ward Boundary Review Committee

May 30, 2012

Mayor Craig Moe has appointed three residents to the city's Census and Ward Boundary Review Ad Hoc Committee, which held its first meeting May 29.

Former City Council member G. Rick Wilson was appointed to represent Ward 1, Rhonda Whitley was appointed to represent Ward 2 and Kimberly Elliott will be the at-large representative on the committee.

Census and Ward Boundary Committee members will review the census figures for the city of Laurel and review the boundaries of Laurel's two wards. They are scheduled to hold at least one public hearing on ward boundaries, and are expected to make recommendations on any ward boundary changes to the mayor and City Council in the next few months.
