The Best of Luck Candy & Gifts moving to Power Plant

 Candy retailer The Best of Luck Candy & Gifts has moved to larger quarters at Power Plant in downtown Baltimore, next to Phillips Seafood.

The Inner Harbor store, which specializes in bulk and nostalgia candy, gift baskets and custom favors, is double the size of the former location in Harbor East, with entrances on Pratt Street and the Power Plant promenade.  Besides candy such as Blow Pops, Pop Rocks and Charleston Chews, the store sells freshly popped popcorn, slushies, coffee drinks and ice cream.

Candy from the jar sells for $9.99 a pound, with chocolate bulk candy for $11.99 a pound.

Baltimorean and owner Lucky Thompson said the shop has expanded its candy and gift offerings and now has the space to host children's birthday parties, sweet sixteen parties, baby showers and other events.  The store will be open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
