The National Weather Service is calling for Wednesday to be mostly sunny in the Baltimore area, with a high near 85 and southwest winds between 3 and 9 miles per hour. There is a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m.

A small craft advisory will go into effect at midnight for the Maryland Chesapeake Bay and the tidal Potomac River.

Wednesday night is expected to be partly cloudy, with a low around 60 and north winds 6 to 9 miles per hour, increasing to between 14 and 17 miles per hour.

Thursday is expected to be sunny, with a high near 78 and north winds between 8 and 17 miles per hour.

Thursday night is expected to be mostly clear, with a low around 56 and north winds around 5 miles per hour or less.
