Orioles-Rangers game postponed

doubleheader set for tomorrow

May 09, 2012|By Eduardo A. Encina | The Baltimore Sun

Tonight's Orioles game against the Rangers at Camden Yards has been postponed due to inclement weather.

The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader tomorrow that will begin at 4:05 p.m. Game 2 will not start before 7:05 p.m.

Both games will be telecast on MASN.

Tickets for tomorrow’s game will be valid for both games of the doubleheader, while tickets for tonight’s game may be exchanged for seats of equal value for tomorrow’s doubleheader or any remaining non-prime home game during the 2012 season, subject to availability.

Ticket exchanges must be made by June 30. The Oriole Park Box Office will open at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow.

Also, the Orioles have announced that right-hander Tommy Hunter, sent to Triple-A Norfolk on Monday, will be recalled and pitch in the second game of the doubleheader. That means the Orioles will make a corresponding move to place a player on the disabled list, likely outfielder Endy Chavez (intercostal strain).

Here are the probables for tomorrow's doubleheader:

Game 1
Orioles: LHP Wei-Yin Chen (2-0, 2.76 ERA)
Rangers: RHP Colby Lewis (3-1, 2.97)

Game 2
Orioles: RHP Tommy Hunter (2-1, 5.00 ERA)
Rangers: LHP Derek Holland (2-2, 4.43 ERA)
