HCC Presents 'Elephant's Graveyard'

May 02, 2012

HCC Actors Guild will present "Elephant's Graveyard" May 4 through 6 at Harford Community College's Black Box Theater in Joppa Hall. Performances are at 8 p.m. on May 4 and 5 and Saturdays and at 3 p.m. on May 6.

"Elephant's Graveyard" by George Brant is the true tale of the tragic collision of a struggling circus and a tiny town in Tennessee that resulted in the only known lynching of an elephant. Set in September 1916, the play combines the historical fact and legend, exploring the deep-seated craving for spectacle, violence and revenge.

Tickets are $5 to $10 and are available at the Harford Community College Ticket Office in the Chesapeake Center or by calling 443-412-2211. Reasonable accommodations for a documented disability may be requested by calling Disability Support Services, 443-412-2402, in advance of participation. A minimum notice of two weeks may be needed to provide some accommodations.

The show is produced through a special arrangement with Samuel French Inc.
