Olivia Ravadge hit a sacrfice fly to left field and Alex Braun scored the winning run as visiting No. 15 Chesapeake-AA upset No. 1 Severna Park, 5-4, on Wednesday.
The Cougars (10-5) trailed 4-0 before Danielle Myers and Deja Sutton homered in the three-run fourth inning. Chesapeake-AA tied the game in the sixth on a wild pitch. The Falcons fell to 12-2.
No. 2 Eastern Tech 13, Sparrows Point 0: Winner Jordan Cargile pitched a five-inning four-hitter and struck out seven as the host Mavericks (14-2) shut out the Pointers.
Cargile also went 3-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs. Allison Williams (3-for-3) had two triples and two RBIs for Eastern Tech.
No. 7 Archbishop Spalding 8, Mount de Sales 2: Right-hander Ali Caulkins struck out three for the win and Melanie Gunning went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI for the host Cavaliers (10-6).
No. 9 Broadneck 7, No. 13 North County 5: The host Bruins (10-5) scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to beat the Knights (9-6).
No. 12 Glen Burnie 5, Southern 2: Alexa Moos pitched seven innings and struck out nine for the visiting Gophers (9-3).
No. 3 North Harford 1, Bel Air 0: Alec Mouring drove in the game-winning run with a single in the second inning and the host Hawks (14-1) survived the Bobcats.
Kevin Mooney struck out 11 in his fifth win.
Howard 12, No. 4 Glenelg 2: The host Lions (10-5) used a six-run second inning to upset the Gladiators (11-4).
No. 6 Reservoir 5, Centennial 3: Right-hander Lee Lawler (3-0) struck out 12 and the host Gators (14-1) scored four runs in the fifth inning to beat the Eagles.
No. 9 Patterson Mill 4, Fallston 2: Blaine Sheesley worked five innings for the win and Aaron Childs went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and a stolen base for the host Huskies (13-2).
Atholton 6, No. 15 River Hill 4: The visiting Raiders (8-7) — led by Brady Acker (2-for-4) with a double and two runs scored — upset the Hawks (11-3) after beating Hammond, 4-3, Tuesday.
Kenwood 2, Perry Hall 1: Right-hander John Thomas (2-0) struck out four and the visiting Bluebirds (6-4) scored twice in the fifth inning to top the Gators.
