If you're looking for some fun spring bonding time with your furry friend, the Bowie Baysox invite you to Bark in the Park at Prince George's Stadium. On the afternoon of Sunday, May 6, the Baysox will take on the Akron Aeros in front of a crowd full of fans and their dogs.
"I know that many of our fans enjoy spending time with their four-legged friends so we decided to designate special days where they could bring their dogs to a game," Baysox Director of Marketing Brandan Kaiser said in an April 17 press release. “Our mascot, Louie, loves dogs and I know he is excited to see them on Bark in the Park Day and during all of our upcoming Mutt Monday events."
Dogs must be kept on leashes at all times during the afternoon, but in compensation their furry faces will be featured on the video board throughout the game. Tables on the concourse will feature veterinarians, pet grooming services and more.
Water dishes will be provided around the stadium, and there will be dedicated relief areas just outside.
Baysox tickets can be purchased here or by calling the Baysox box office at (301) 464-4865. Parking is free.
