Junior Congregation — Beth Shalom's Junior Congregation is geared toward teaching children in third through sixth grades prayer skills and helping them to become comfortable on the bimah. At the service, students will learn about the Torah Portion of the week and be invited to come up to the bimah to recite prayers and to have other honors during the service. Junior Congregation will be held Sat., April 20, at 10:30 a.m., at Beth Shalom, 8070 Harriet Tubman Lane, in Columbia.
Mastering the Mysteries of Sacramental Love — This program for Catholic couples combines relationship enhancement skills with church teachings as a way to build strong marriages. The program is held at Bon Secours Spiritual Center and runs weekly on Thursday for five weeks beginning April 19. Tot Shabbat — Geared toward young children and their families, Beth Shalom Congregation's Tot Shabbat includes an opportunity for the children to sing songs, learn basic prayers and listen to a story told by Rabbi Susan Grossman. Tot Shabbat will be held Fri., April 20, 8 p.m., at Beth Shalom Congregation, 8070 Harriet Tubman Lane, in Columbia. Following the service, those attending will be welcome to attend an oneg Shabbat.

Columbia Center for Theatrical Arts Auditions — The center will hold auditions for its Pre-teen Professional Theater "Legally Blonde" summer camp, for children and teens in grades 5-10, Mon., April 16, 5-7 p.m.; and Wed., April 18, 6:30-8:30 p.m., at St. John's Parish Day School, 9130 Frederick Road, Ellicott City.
