Baltimore city police responded to three shootings Sunday, including a possible homicide.

Homicide detectives responded to East 22nd Street near Kennedy Avenue in East Baltimore Midway, where a man was shot around 7:29 p.m. according to Det. Donny Moses, a department spokesman. Police found the man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, and he was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where his condition was unknown.

At 7:39 p.m., police responded to the 600 block of George Street in the Heritage Crossing area of West Baltimore, where they found an elderly man shot. He was taken to Shock Trauma, where his condition was unknown Sunday evening.

Earlier, a 25-year-old man was shot in the torso around 4 p.m. in the 5300 block of Gist Ave. in the Fallstaff area of northwest Baltimore, Moses said. An unknown assailant approached the man on foot, Moses said, and opened fire without warning with a small-caliber handgun.

The victim was taken to an area hospital, where he was in serious but stable condition. Police had no details on the suspect, nor the motive, Moses said.

Further details were not immediately available.
