Wednesday forecast: Sunny, chance of storms, high near 77

The National Weather Service is calling for partly sunny skies, with a high temperature near 77 degrees today. There is a 50 percent chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m.

Southwest winds between 5 and 11 miles per hour are expected today, with gusts as high as 23 miles per hour in thunderstorms. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch are forecast, except higher amounts are possible in thunderstorms.

Tonight's forecast calls for partly cloudy skies, with a low temperature around 55 degrees. West winds around 11 miles per hour are expected.

Thursday is expected to be mostly sunny, with a high near 63 degrees. Northwest winds between 15 and 18 miles per hour are forecast.

Thursday night's forecast calls for mostly clear skies, with a low temperature around 43 degrees. North winds between 5 and 9 miles per hour are expected.
