Victim was discovered by his mother, who heard gunshots

An 18-year-old man was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds Saturday night in the 800 block of West Fayette St., Baltimore police reported Sunday.

The victim, identified as Rodrick Burden, died of his injuries, police said, adding that Burden had wounds to his head and torso.

Burden was discovered by his mother, who heard gunshots outside her home in the 800 block of West Fayette St., police said. Officers arrived on the scene at 11:12 p.m.

Police, who said they knew of no motive for the shooting, said Burden was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was pronounced dead.
