Woman injured in Anne Arundel Co. shooting

A woman was injured in a shooting overnight in the Rose Haven area of Anne Arundel County, officials said Friday.

At about 2:16 a.m., officers were called to the 7000 block of Charleston Ave. They found a 26-year-old woman who had a gunshot wound on her upper body, according to Anne Arundel Fire Division Chief Michael Cox. Her injuries were serious but not life-threatening, and she was transported to a Prince George's County hospital for treatment.

No information on potential suspects or charges was available Friday morning.
