Autumne Franklin
McDonogh, senior
Franklin's versatility has helped make McDonogh nearly impossible to beat the past few years. She's going to Harvard next year and should give the Crimson's track team plenty of help as well.
Ellie Gonzalez
Catholic, sophomore
Already one of the best distance runners in the state, Gonzalez won the IAAM cross country title in the fall and took the 1,600 and 3,200 at the indoor track championship meet with ease.
Elizabeth Harper
Northwestern, junior
A big reason Northwestern is suddenly becoming a solid team in Baltimore City and Class 1A, Harper helped score points in four events at the indoor state meet. That enabled the Wildcats to finish second as a team.
Erika Hurd
Manchester Valley, senior
Hurd won the Class 1A high jump indoor title and has six state championships during her high school career. She's also a strong runner who can get her team points on the track.
Michelle Keller
Liberty, junior
Keller has the new kind of versatility that more athletes are displaying these days. She finished second in Class 2A in the high jump and shot put during the indoor season, an unusual combination.
Racquel Moses
Milford Mill, senior
Moses always gives the Millers points in the sprints and hurdles. At the indoor state meet, she won the 300 and also ran on the winning 800 relay team, helping Milford Mill take second in Class 3A.
Hannah Oneda
Winters Mill, senior
Oneda is headed to Johns Hopkins in the fall, and area distance runners will be glad to see her go. The reigning All-Metro Cross Country Runner of the Year has became almost unbeatable in the past two years, winning two state titles indoors while setting records both times.
Emily VandeWater
Hereford, senior
VandeWater has gotten lost in the shadows a bit competing on some very deep Hereford teams throughout her varsity career. But she has been an important part of the distance team, giving the Bulls points over and over again.
Michaela Wilkins
Mount Hebron, senior
A solid middle-distance runner with speed, Wilkins took third in the state (Class 3A) in the 500 and won the 800 indoors this winter. She can also run relays.
