It's time for a food truck rally: March 23 at Maryland SPCA

March 15, 2012|By Richard Gorelick | The Baltimore Sun

I was just thinking it was high time we had another food-truck rally. Asked and answered.

The Maryland SPCA is hosting a food truck rally on March 23 on the parking lot of their bucolic Hampden headquarters. Volunteers will be introducing adoptable dogs to rally attendees.

Confirmed for the event are Kooper's Chowhound Burger Wagon, South Carolina BBQ, Iced Gems Creations, Gypsy Queen, Souper Freak and GrrChe have been confirmed.

If you go, make sure you check out the SPCA's recently renovated adoption center. Proceeds from food sales will benefit the Maryland SPCA, which operates entirely on private donations.

Your own animal friends are welcome to attend other events at the Maryland SPCA but because your hands will be full with snacks — and beer and wine, too  —it's best to leave them home this time.
