Men's lacrosse Player of the Week: Ryan Snyder, Lehigh

March 08, 2012

Ryan Snyder, Lehigh

Junior, Reading, Pa., midfielder

Snyder registered what might be the most shocking individual performance of the season so far when he outdueled faceoff specialist R.G. Keenan (Boys' Latin) in the Mountain Hawks' 9-8 upset of then-No. 4 North Carolina on Saturday night. The 5-foot-10, 210-pound Snyder won 13 of 20 faceoffs, including nine of 12 against the Tar Heels sophomore. Keenan had succeeded on 66 of 81 draws (81.5 percent) before that loss. Snyder has won 33 of 55 faceoffs (60 percent) during No. 15 Lehigh's four-game winning streak and is 57-for-94 (60.6) for the season. In his career, Snyder has succeeded on 268 of 463 draws (57.9 percent).
