Man, 47, wounded in torso in Druid Heights

Police say victim was shot by two people who fled

Baltimore police on Sunday were investigating a nonfatal shooting that happened Saturday in the Druid Heights community of central Baltimore.

A little before 6:30 p.m., police went to the 1800 block of Druid Hill Avenue in response to a report of a shooting. They found a 47-year-old man lying in a doorway suffering a gunshot wound to the torso, police said.

Police said the man, who has not been named, was taken to an area hospital and at last report was in serious but stable condition.

A preliminary investigation has revealed that the man was shot by at least two people, who fled after the incident, police said. No suspects were named.
