The No. 2 Maryland women's lacrosse team had a record-setting day Thursday in a 21-4 win over visiting Delaware.

Coach Cathy Reese, a former Terps All-American, earned her 100th career win at Maryland, and Karri Ellen Johnson scored career goal No. 188 to move into third on the Terps' all-time goals list.

"I'm just so proud to be an alum of this program," said Reese, who is 100-11 with the Terps.

Brooke Griffin netted a game-high five goals, Johnson added four and Kelly McPartland and Alex Aust each scored three to pace the Terps (2-0).

For the second consecutive game, Maryland started with a 9-0 run. The Terps pushed the lead to 14-1 advantage through the game's first 30 minutes after initiating a running clock thanks to a 10-goal lead a mere 23 minutes in.  Brittany Dipper made three saves in the first half to lead Maryland defensively.
