A 27-year-old man died after being shot multiple times in Northeast Baltimore, one of three people shot in the city on Sunday, according to police.

The fatal shooting occurred shortly after 2:30 a.m. in the 5200 block of Darien Road. Police responding to calls about gunshots said they found the victim, Kyndal Staten, in the nearby 5900 block of Laclede Road, in the Cedonia neighborhood near the city-county line.

Police said that Staten had suffered "multiple gunshot wounds." He was pronounced dead at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.

About 12 hours later, police said they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound in the 1200 block of Greenmount Ave., in the Johnston Square neighborhood of East Baltimore. Police said the 20-year-old male was shot in the leg about 2:20 p.m. a few blocks away, in the 700 block of Mura St.

The unidentified victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment. His condition was not immediately known.

At about 3:50 p.m., police said, another man was shot and wounded in Northeast Baltimore, in the 1400 block of Darley Ave. in Darley Park. The community is just off Harford Road, south of East 25th Street.

Police had no immediate details of the attack but said the man who was shot was being treated at an area hospital.
