Robbery Incident (4800 Blk Roland Park)

Baltimore, MD / February 1, 2012 - The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred last night within the Roland Park Community of Northern Baltimore.

Just before 8:00 p.m. within the rear of the 4800 Blk of Roland Avenue, as two women entered their vehicle they were approached by the suspect who demanded the victim's purses. Threatening to shoot if they did not comply, the suspect reached in the vehicle and removed a purse. He then unsuccessfully attempted to take the second victim's purse before fleeing on foot. There were no reported injuries sustained by the victim.

Suspect Description: Lightly complected male, black knit-cap, light gray sweater, medium build

The Baltimore Police Department is vigorously investigating the incident and asking anyone with information concerning the robbery to contact the Northern District Detective Unit at 410-396-2455. As always information can be provided anonymously.

The Baltimore Police Department reminds everyone to remain aware of their surroundings and report any suspicious activities or persons via 911 immediately.
