'State of the Ravens' press conference is Wednesday

January 31, 2012|By Matt Vensel

The Ravens announced today that the team will hold its annual “State of the Ravens” press conference Wednesday at the team’s practice facility in Owings Mills. The annual season-review press conference, which starts at 2 p.m., is our rare opportunity to chat about all Ravens topics with owner Steve Bisciotti, president Dick Cass, general manager and executive vice president Ozzie Newsome and head coach John Harbaugh.

Last year, Bisciotti told media that he liked offensive Cam Cameron “under fire” and he endorsed Joe Flacco as their franchise quarterback. He also expressed disappointment with the Ravens’ running game in 2010.

The previous year, he said that Flacco needed to step up his game and team officials publicly stated that they planned to add playmakers at wide receiver (and two months later, they did so by trading for Anquan Boldin).

So you should probably expect news and some interesting comments to be made at the big press conference.

The event is not open to fans. But if you could get one question, what would you ask the team’s brain trust?
