Man fatally shot in Southwest Baltimore

Police also investigating shooting of 22-year-old victim at carryout in NW Baltimore

Police were investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Thursday afternoon in Southwest Baltimore, while a man was expected to survive a shooting that occurred Wednesday night at a Northwest Baltimore carryout.

Officers were called to the 500 block of Edgewood St. in the Allendale community at 1:08 p.m. for a report that a man had been shot in the head, police said. The victim, tentatively described as a 30-year-old, was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma center, where he died at 1:40 p.m. Additional details were not available.

Police found the 22-year-old victim at 10:52 p.m. Wednesday at the Fish and Chicken Seafood Carryout in the 4700 block of Liberty Heights Ave. in Forest Park. He was lying on the floor and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body. He was listed in critical condition but expected to survive, police said.
