Former Lake Clifton point guard Josh Selby faces a misdemeanor possession of marijuana charge in Prince George's County.

Selby, the 2010 Baltimore Sun Male Athlete of the Year, was cited Oct. 5. The Memphis Grizzlies rookie is scheduled to appear in Prince George's County district court on Jan. 25 at 8:45 a.m.

Selby told the Memphis Commercial Appeal on Saturday that he had "no comment about it. It is what it is."

One day after he was cited for marijuana possession, Selby was charged with failure to obey properly placed traffic control device instructions. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound guard pleaded guilty to that charge and paid a small fine.

Selby, who played one season at Kansas before declaring for the NBA Draft last spring, has appeared in four games for the Grizzlies this season. The rookie is averaging 4.5 points and 2.8 assists.
