Anne Arundel County police have charged a 22-year-old Severn woman with assault and drug possession.

Stacie Nashae Beauford was arrested Tuesday at her home in the 1700 block of Richfield Drive in connection with the stabbing of a 20-year-old man, reported at 3:40 p.m. the same afternoon. The assault occurred during an argument at the residence, police said. During the arrest, police discovered, in plain sight, more than $12,000 worth of heroin, cocaine and marijuana.

Beauford faces first- and second-degree assault charges, as well as reckless endangerment and possession, manufacturing and distribution of controlled dangerous substances and paraphernalia.

The victim, also a Severn resident, is recovering from non-life threatening injuries at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, police said.

Beauford is being held at the Anne Arundel County Detention Center in lieu of $300,000 bail.
