Double-dipping county officials

Thanks for your report regarding the "double dipping" by Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz and his two friends who served on the council with him ("A pension windfall," Dec. 18).

It seems a shame that that they don't seem to realize that their actions only add to voter concerns over the lucrative pensions for supposedly part-time councilmanic positions. Most voters already realized that their pensions were excessive compared to those in the private sector.

After essentially exempting themselves from the reforms they introduced as councilmen, they moved to new positions and proceeded to indirectly collect substantial pensions along with the salaries that came with their new positions. Can anyone say "good old boyz network?" Baltimore County workers should be upset.
