Double shooting in W. Baltimore sends two to hospital

One man in critical condition

A double shooting on the city's west side Thursday evening sent two men to area hospitals.

Police responded at 8:48 p.m. to reports of gunshots in the 3000 block of Belmont Ave., near Hilton Parkway. They found a 31-year-old man there suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. He remains in critical condition, police said.

A second man was located about a block away. He had been shot at least twice in the arm and leg, police said. The second victim's age and condition were not released.
