Ngata, Grubbs back at practice

But Redding, Webb, Cundiff absent during open portion Thursday

A pair of starters in defensive tackle Haloti Ngata and left guard Ben Grubbs returned to practice Thursday. Ngata and Grubbs had sat out Wednesday’s session due to back and toe injuries, respectively.

Inside linebacker Ray Lewis and cornerback Chris Carr were present and active during the portion of practice open to the media. Both Lewis, who had missed the team’s last four games because of a turf toe injury on his right foot, and Carr, who has sat out the last three contests with a recurring back ailment, were limited Wednesday.

Three starters in defensive end Cory Redding (ankle), cornerback Lardarius Webb (left toe) and kicker Billy Cundiff (left calf) were absent again. They did not practice Wednesday.

Rookie running back Anthony Allen (hamstring) was present and active.
