An article in Tuesday's editions of The Baltimore Sun, and an editorial Wednesday about Anne Arundel County Councilman Daryl Jones receiving a sentence of five months in jail for failing to file a tax return incorrectly described the timeline under which the county would have to hold an election if he resigned. Any appointed successor would serve on the council until the 2014 election.
The Sun regrets the error.
