The National Weather Service is calling for Wednesday to be cloudy in the Baltimore area, with showers, a high near 63 degrees. Winds could gust as high as 30 miles per hour. The chance of precipitation is 50 percent.

A small craft advisory is in effect Wednesday for the Maryland Chesapeake Bay and the tidal Potomac River. A gale warning is in effect Wednesday night for the Maryland Chesapeake Bay south of Pooles Island and the lower tidal Potomac River.

Wednesday night is expected to be mostly cloudy during the early evening then gradually clearing, with a low around 39 degrees. It will be breezy, with a north wind 18 to 21 miles per hour decreasing to between 9 and 12 miles per hour. Winds could gust as high at 37 miles per hour. The chance of precipitation is 30 percent.

Thursday is expected to be sunny, with a high near 56 and north winds of 7 to 9 miles per hour.

Thursday night is expected to be clear, with a low around 43 and light west winds.
