Traffic: Accident on I-695 outer loop at Route 702

Extra trains on MARC lines for Thanksgiving traffic

As of 9 a.m. Wednesday, traffic was slow on the outer loop of the Baltimore Beltway at Route 702, due to an accident.

Accidents were slowing traffic on I-83 northbound at Old York Road in Baltimore County and on I-32 westbound at Route 198 in Howard County.

Ridge Road is closed between Kratz Road and Dogwood Road in Baltimore County, due to downed trees.

Hollingsworth Road is closed between Route 91 and Glens Falls Road in Carroll County, due to flooding.

Route 30 is closed at Mount Gilead Road in Reisterstown, due to flooding.

A water main break was disrupting traffic on Evergreen Lane at Back River Neck Road in Baltimore County.

The MARC system is adding cars to trains on the Penn and Camden lines on Wednesday afternoon to accommodate Thanksgiving holiday travelers.

Also, on MARC's Camden line, Train 852 will leave Washington at 2 p.m., making all stops to Camden Yards. The Camden line train usually scheduled to leave Washington at 5:51 p.m. will not operate.

In addition, there will be an extra Penn Line MARC train departing Washington at 2:50 p.m., making all stops to Perryville. The 5:25 p.m. Penn Line departure will hold 25 minutes in Washington.
