Presented by the Central Maryland Chorale (formerly Laurel Oratorio Society), artistic director Monica Otal. Accompanied by Montgomery Philharmonic, Sandra Ragusa, music director. Soloist baritone Steven Rainbolt. Concert includes "Memorial," commissioned from Rene Clausen for a remembrance of Sept. 11; movement from Randall Thompson's "Testament of Freedom"; Vaughan Williams' "Dona Nobis Pacem"; Samuel Barber's "Adagio for Strings"; and other songs of peace and remembrance. Held in memory of Tom Linsenmeyer and benefits Sarah's House, supportive housing program for families near Fort Meade.
