Ed Reed, Suggs return to practice Friday

Return of Pro Bowlers is good sign for Sunday's game vs. Seahawks

A day after missing practice Thursday, Ravens free safety Ed Reed and outside linebacker Terrell Suggs returned to Friday’s session.

Reed and Suggs had sat out Thursday with what the team described as a shoulder and knee injury, respectively. Both players had fully practiced Wednesday, and their return Friday would suggest that they should be available for Sunday’s game at the Seattle Seahawks.

The only player absent was rookie running Anthony Allen. He did not practice Thursday because of a thigh injury.

Center Matt Birk (neck), wide receiver Lee Evans (left ankle), linebackers Brendon Ayanbadejo (post-concussion symptoms) and Dannell Ellerbe (hamstring) and tight end Kris Wilson (calf) were present.

Update: After Friday’s practice, Ravens coach John Harbaugh described Thursday’s absences as “more of a rest issue” for Suggs and Reed.

Suggs said he would be a game-time decision for the game and reminded reporters that players have been advised by Harbaugh to not disclose injury information, though he added, “It’s not a big deal. How long have y’all been writing [about] me? Nine years? You know the story: If I can breathe, I’m good.”

Reed was not in the locker room after practice, but that’s nothing out of the ordinary for the Pro Bowl safety.
