Md. casinos bring in $12.9 million in October

Maryland's two casinos brought in a total of $12.9 million in October, the Maryland Lottery reported Monday.

Hollywood Casino Perryville, in Cecil County, generated $9.1 million in revenue during the month, while the Casino at Ocean Downs, in Worcester County, had sales of $3.8 million. Hollywood Casino reported gross gaming revenue per machine per day of $195.58 in October, and the Casino at Ocean Downs had gross gaming revenue per machine per day of $154.41.

The casinos have generated $55.5 million in gaming revenue so far this fiscal year. In October, nearly half of the total revenue went to the state's education trust fund, while about a third went to the casinos.
